Hey there! I’m Heather and this is my first attempt at this whole blog thing…but I am absolutely excited for the challenge! I would say I’m a mixed bag: I am a middle school home-economics teacher and up until this year I was a varsity high school swim coach. I decided to stop because my own kids were getting more involved and busy and I did not want to miss a second of it! I am married to an incredible man, Jeff. He supports me in everything, lets me be me, and we are also co-workers. We met in 2005 while working at the same school. He teaches social studies, and is a former division 1 college baseball coach, which he also stopped to spend more time with us. We are also blessed with 2 amazing children! Ava Lynn is our super independent, energetic 9 year-old who is in fourth grade, and Nolan, who is just turned 6 is in kindergarten and is our sweet, but wild adventurous boy. Running and fitness are both huge passions of mine, and since having Nolan I have found a really big love of half marathons and marathons. Since he was born I have completed 14 1/2 and 3 full marathons. I have also re-discovered a love for weight lifting and strength training. I try incorporating fitness with my family as much as possible. My kids love to work out at home, and are always up for a family run or bike ride. We travel as much as possible, for races, or just for fun! I also love to cook, bake, craft, plan parties, and find new adventures in this wonderful thing called life! I don’t know what it feels like to just sit around and do nothing, and I hope I never do! I’m way to blessed to be stressed anyway! Who knows if anyone will ever read what I write, but I’m looking forward to doing this for me!
